Project Management
Contents: successfully leading a project group increasingly requires specific skills. During this training, we deal with all the basic skills for project managers and the accompanying pitfalls. The issues discussed include the definition (of someone’s responsibilities), phasing, planning, management and related topics (decision-taking, crisis management, the specialist as process counsellor, communication with clients, management style). During this training the participants take turns as project manager and project participant. We will reflect on both valuable and recognizable perspectives.
Objective: teaching how participants can successfully adapt their management style to the various phases of project management.
Target audience: project managers just starting, project managers and/ or team leaders.
Issues: characteristics of project management: the tension between functional tasks and responsibilities versus hierarchical tasks and competences in project organization, the issues of quality, budget, people and time between start and finish, project management and guidance, progress of the project and reporting, facilitating relevant cooperation processes with a project team during various phases of the project.
Out of the ordinary: we will work on real projects by means of games and large-scale assignments. A link with IPMA and PRINCE2-certification is possible.
