Team development & team building
Contents: team building is often aimed at getting people to agree on something without them being at each other’s throats! This type of training focuses on these kinds of issues. Teambuilding, or rather team analysis, is central to this kind of training.
Relevant questions include: Where are we as a group? How do we develop as a group? Are we in fact a group? What is needed to be a group? All groups develop over time (forming, storming, norming, performing, Tuckman, 1965). Some teams can develop freely; others remain “stuck”. The participants experience in person the phase in which they are as a group and which obstacles may lie in their way.
These programmes are centred around reflection, enabling the group to engage in profound "dialogues in circles". In a circle, everyone looks each other straight in the eye and tries to find common ground. Focused on the centre, the core topic of the group.
Objective: stimulating group development, enhancing the efficiency of the group, creating a sense of team spirit, stimulating reflection and openness.
Target group: : new and existing teams.
Topics: Phases in group development, group dynamics, creating a group spirit, unity in diversity etc.
